Our video call training is divided into two parts. We will take you through the preparation that you need to do in order to deliver video call meetings with style and confidence. You will learn to think about what your audience needs whilst they’re online with you, how do you make sure they’re involved, engaged and taking an active part in the event.
Our training will demonstrate how techniques used to create television programmes can be used to keep your audiences attention. We bring our TV experience to your workplace communication so that you can see how broadcast techniques and skills will help create more interesting and engaging meetings and presentations online. We also help you deal with a range of questions from your audience and our practical sessions show you how to get your lighting, sound and eye level right.

Our course content will look at how to prepare and what you need to think about before you join an online meeting or event when you have something important to land with your audience. We also look at practical tips and techniques, that we bring to you straight from experienced BBC journalists. We use this experience to help you writing scripts, slides and messaging for your video calls. We even include a practical element within our training, recording a video call and playing this back, allowing us to offer constructive, inclusive feedback which will help you to increase your skills and confidence.
Liz is a director and founding partner of CoComms. She is a highly effective communications coach who delivers business training for a wide range of public & private sector organisations both in the UK and abroad. Liz has more than 20 years’ experience as a senior journalist and people manager at the BBC in national news and political programming – having started her career on newspapers. She is a member of the CIPR, qualified in coaching by the University of Warwick – and recognised with a qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She’s studying International Politics in her spare time.
